Our Executives
Steve Greene
Steve Greene
President
Steve Greene is President of Atrafin, the American Trade and Finance Company. He joined the firm as Chief Operating Officer close to twenty years ago and has spent that time structuring and closing United States Export-Import Bank transactions, with particular depth in the medium-term program, for exporters selling into emerging markets. Few people have worked inside the EXIM system for as long, and his relationship with the Private Export Funding Corporation, which funds Atrafin’s lending, now runs close to thirty years. Steve came to lending from both sides of the transaction, beginning his career in international business development at a United States exporter that used EXIM financing to grow its overseas sales before moving into international lending where EXIM was the primary focus. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Trinity College in Hartford.
Adam Gross
Adam Gross
CEO
Adam Gross leads Atrafin, the American Trade and Finance Company, a specialist trade and structured finance firm that has been arranging cross-border transactions for more than twenty years. Atrafin works at the intersection of exporters, lenders, financial institutions and government agencies, with its deepest specialty in United States Export-Import Bank financing.
Adam trained as an accountant, qualifying with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and spending the first three years of his career in audit. From there he moved to the operating side. He built out the Asian distributor businesses of Chef Works, a global hospitality uniform group with distribution into more than eighty countries and manufacturing across three continents. He helped establish the group’s global sourcing and quality control office in Hong Kong from the ground up, and has spent his career running companies across multiple jurisdictions, managing international supply chains, logistics, currency exposure and working capital.
That experience shapes how he approaches every transaction. Adam has sat on the exporter’s side of the table, so the starting point is never the structure. It is understanding what a client is actually trying to build commercially, then working out the financing that gets them there. What he finds most rewarding is seeing exporters reach markets they could not access on their own, and watching a deal that looked too complicated to close actually get done.
